News - Reflecting Our Landscapes
Since the band's inception, Lolo Mo has been supported by not only family and friends, but many wonderful people and establishments in (and around) the Columbia River Gorge and Willamette Valley. A blessing for sure, and we whole heartily extend our thanks to all those along the way. You have been our compass...a "true Northwest" heading that has helped guide us.
We recognize that the Northwest is truly an incredible region to live. Folks "in these parts" have a relaxed grace coupled with an understanding of the inherent responsibility to protect our natural resources. Not only in the "Gorge" (our nation's first National Scenic Area) but in all the surrounding States and National Parks found in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana and Wyoming. We have a treasure trove of these rare gifts and we desperately need to protect these indelible legacies.
The forests, mountains, valleys, lakes, rivers, and the wildlife they sustain are what inspire and help us to gain, as well as, keep our perspectives. Plus Washington and Oregon are bordered by the largest ocean on the planet and this Pacific Coastline provides dramatic reminders of a privilege we need to respect and care for.
Landscapes here are second to none. They have been an inspiration and a major influence to the creative force the band harbors. Songs like The Lion's Share, Far Behind, Hanging On, One Door and Just Move Along, have core foundations of the Northwest and echo a distinctive lifestyle.
We have been writing and arranging many new songs and it's not surprising that you have welcomed (with open arms) this growing backcloth of our expressions.
They reflect the sights and sounds of communities that have discovered the right blend of inspiration, motivation and of course, fun in the Gorge. It is this essence that ensures we are keeping true to the objectives of reflecting our landscapes.
